Meet Cate and Peter, the dynamic duo who kick-started their dessert adventure at The Fudge Cottage back in 2005. Back then, they were crafting handmade fudge and ice cream, sharing their delectable treats with the world.
As their creations gained a devoted following, they decided to take things to the next level by opening Cotton Tree Ice Creamery. Here, Peter proudly handcrafts his own small-batch ice cream. This isn't your ordinary ice cream – it's an artisanal masterpiece. Peter's secret? He whips far less air into it than commercial ice cream, resulting in a dreamy, creamier texture that'll make your taste buds dance with joy.
But that's not all...
We're not just about ice cream; we're about delivering pure happiness. We're nestled close to the river and sea, where kids come in with sand on their feet, wrapped in towels, and brimming with excitement after a day of adventure. It's a slice of childhood nostalgia that's as refreshing as a scoop on a hot summer day.

The proof is in the daily parade of people who drop by for their ice cream fix. And guess what? Most of our ice cream is gluten-free. We even have gluten-free waffle cones, which means everyone can savour the glorious crunch of a cone.
In 2020, we unveiled our very own handmade ice cream cake range
proudly showcased in our display freezer ready for immediate purchase. It's our way of adding an extra scoop of happiness to your special occasions.
